Stoke 'massive' - Gomes

Heurelho Gomes insists we have to forget Madrid and focus on Saturday's 'massive' Premier League clash against Stoke City.

We're back at the Lane for a 3pm kick-off after the disappointing 4-0 loss in the Champions League quarter-final, first leg at the Bernabeu on Tuesday night.

Naturally deflated like the rest of his team-mates after that defeat, Gomes said a return to form against the Potters was key as we bid for a place in the top four.

Gomes said: "Madrid was disappointing for everyone, especially to go down to 10 men so early.

"It was made very difficult for us. We had to work so hard, all the lads got cramp because they had to run so much.

"Now we have to pick ourselves up because we need to finish in the top four of the Premier League.

"We cannot afford to think about the next game with Madrid, we must all think about the next game against Stoke which will be a massive game for us.

"We need to believe, we need to keep going and we need the fans to push us again at White Hart Lane."
