'Stickability' the key

Posted on 24 November 2003  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

David Pleat talked about the 'stickability' of the side after we came from behind to beat Aston Villa 2-1 at the Lane on Sunday.

Goals from substitute Rohan Ricketts and Robbie Keane after 77 and 80 minutes cancelled out Marcus Allback's opener and lifted us to 12th spot in the Premiership.

Caretaker boss David reflected: "We worked hard, kept playing and we coped because we have this strange word, 'stickability'. We also have a lot of spirit and that has seen us through this time."

"I was delighted for Rohan and Bobby Zamora. The substitutions paid off - sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

"Arsenal's paid off against us and ours paid off this time, changed the game a little, gave us a little more imputus, more creativity. The lads adapted well."
