Chris Hughton believes Stephane Dalmat has got better and better as he's adapted to the English environment.
After showing many a sign, the French winger dazzled for 90 minutes against Crystal Palace at the weekend and weighed in with two against Birmingham on Wednesday.
First team coach Chris explained: "The thing with Stephane, as with a lot of foreign players coming into the Premiership, is they need time to adjust to a different environment and different game.
"He has got better over this period of time.
"Even though we lost at Portsmouth he had a very good first half down there but the signs have been there.
"As regards his ability - that's the reason we took him. We know what he can produce but it's all about trying to do it on a more regular basis.
"I'm sure his performance against Palace will him great confidence going into the next games."
As a playing legend at the Lane and Irish international full-back himself, Chris is well placed to describe the threat of Stephane at full tilt.
"The hardest thing as a defender with Stephane is when you are confronted by someone with pace," he said.
""When there is power, pace and the ability to manouevre the ball like Stephane can, it's a daunting task. We've got to give him enough of the ball to do it on a regular basis."
