Steffen's World Cup Diary: Group H

Posted on 30 May 2002  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

A European Championship winner with Germany, Steffen Freund has agreed to stretch his diary into the World Cup - starting with a run down of the groups. Today, Group H.

Japan are the co-hosts of the World Cup but I think Belgium and Russia will make it through from Group H.

If Belgium and Russia play to the capabilities, I think they will go through. Both have a lot of experience and both have players playing in the best leagues across Europe.

Japan are becoming stronger as a football nation but this might just be too early for them and I take them to go out in the first round with Tunisia.
