Steffen's World Cup Diary: Group F

Posted on 28 May 2002  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

A European Championship winner with Germany, Steffen Freund has agreed to stretch his diary into the World Cup - starting with a run down of the groups. Today, Group F.

Group F is, of course, England's group and I hope they go through.

But I take Argentina to win the group. They are one of the strong favourites for the World Cup and they are so because they have very, very strong players offensively.

Just look at the options, Batistuta, Lopez, Kily Gonzales, Ayala, Veron, so many good players and that's why they look so dangerous, strength in every position.

I have been in England for three and a half years now, I love it here and I hope England go through.

The Premier League is one of the best in the world and the better England do in the World Cup, the better it is for the Premier League. It would be great for Teddy Sheringham as well.

Sweden is a strong squad together and both Sweden and Nigeria can beat anyone on their day. I think this is the toughest group, the first game could be vital and I take England to go through with Argentina.
