Steffen's World Cup Diary: Group C

Posted on 25 May 2002  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

A European Championship winner with Germany, Steffen Freund has agreed to stretch his diary into the World Cup - starting with a run down of the group. Today, Group C.

Brazil are always strong and should top Group C.

We all know they have had their problems but those problems came in qualifying and once they are at the tournament, they will always go to the quarter-finals.

They are not one of the top favourites this time around but perhaps that will be good for them. One thing is for sure - they can beat anyone.

Turkey are getting stronger and stronger, they have more experience and they play some excellent football.

I think they will finish second in this group and it will be hard for China and Costa Rica to make much of an impression.
