Steffen's lost for words

Posted on 3 April 2001 - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Steffen Freund is lost for words when it comes to describe the enormity of Sunday's FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal.
Our German midfielder has said since pre-season that it was his dream to play in the 2001 FA Cup Final.
He is now one step away from realising that dream. "No words are right when you talk about Sunday’s semi-final," he declared.
"It is a massive game. What can I say? A semi-final of the FA Cup, Tottenham versus Arsenal at Old Trafford, in front of 67,000 fans. That is all you have to say. What a game."
Steffen insisted the expected return of our more experienced players would be a huge boost before the big one.
Full of praise for the youngsters' performance in Saturday's Premiership reverse at Highbury, he said: "It is always important that we have everyone fit, not just for this semi-final. You can then react to everything on the pitch. If you want success you need every player."
So how much would it mean to play in the FA Cup Final? "I’ll give you the answer," he added. "I hope you ask me the same question next week!"
Read Steffen's weekly column in full by clicking here
Listen to what Steffen had to say this week by clicking here
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
