He is back at home after that emergency surgery, he can walk on crutches and sometimes without already.
The most important thing is that he will come back. I don't know how long it will take, we will see. I speak to him all the time and he's feeling much better.
Of course, I know Christian very well, I was very worried about him and I went to see him straight away at the hospital the next day.
I actually called him on that Boxing Day night after the Charlton game and said 'come on, let's go out to dinner with the children and the families because it is Christmas' but he said 'I'm not sure, I have this problem on my thigh, maybe tomorrow'.
I went out with my family anyway but when I got home I had a phone call from his wife to say that he'd had an operation.
I was shocked. I was there straight away the next day and another bad thing was that they couldn't close the thigh because the muscle was so thick. It was terrible for Christian but at least he has pulled through and started his rehabilitation.
Everything is done and he is improving, so let's forget the bad things and hopefully Christian will be back in a few months.
It was great to hear some good news about Christian Ziege after what happened to him on Boxing Day.
