I came here three years ago and I could see then his ability.
The great strength of Ledley this season has been his consistency. He keeps going, he's played every game except one and he's not easily injured like two years ago when he had a couple of big problems, in-particularly I remember a broken foot.
That is possible, you have bad times as a player but he keeps going now and when you do that, keep learning and if maintain that level, you can be a national player.
I'm sure he will do that. He's in the squad and I wish him all the best. If he keeps going I'm sure he can make the World Cup squad.
It was also good news for me to see Christian Ziege join up with the German squad for our friendly against Israel in Kaiserslautern.
Christian is not far from full fitness now and joining the squad will be good for him.
He will see friends, talk to the manager and start looking forward with the squad to the World Cup.
It is always nice to be part of the squad and if you are invited after injury it is a real compliment. I think it is helpful for the German team and later for Spurs.
Look out for the latest on Steffen's injury in another diary piece later this week...
It was great news to hear about Ledley King making the full England squad.
