I CAN ONLY be positive when I look back at the season.
We showed good quality and played well, especially at the start of the season and we remained strong right up until the turn of the year.
Okay, in the end we were disappointed not to get into Europe and not to finish in seventh place but I don't think it is right to be negative.
Our target was to get into Europe and we were so close in the Worthington Cup and the FA Cup, where we reached the quarter-finals. We reached the final of one competition, the quarter-finals of the other and we missed out on seventh because we lost on the last day. We were so close to an excellent season but it is still positive.
I think one of the important things is that our supporters can see that we can now play in the style the club is famous for but, as the manager has said, it is important we have a winning style as well.
We were only six points behind the leaders right up until January so that is very strong. We can be positive about a lot of things and there is certainly respect for Tottenham throughout the Premier League.
It is everyone's dream at the club to bring success to Tottenham but it's not just a dream - we can go out and do it. The manager has already strengthened the squad and we can look to the top six next season.
We have a very strong squad now when everyone is fit and hopefully the likes of Carry, Goran and Doc all fit again for pre-season, we have every reason to look forward to next season.
Midfield enforcer Steffen Freund reflects on the season passed and insists there are many positives resulting from the campaign.
