The most important thing is that the knee is okay. My muscles still aren't strong enough but that is what I am working on now.
The knee is really what matters and I have not had any swelling since I started working properly so I am happy that the operation was a success.
I have stayed in Germany to work throughout the summer but I was back at the training ground last week to see the management team and the lads before they went to La Manga. I have to continue my programme here.
I am still hopeful of playing again in pre-season. The friendlies against Celtic and Lazio are a nice target perhaps to play a part in but it is important for me not to look to far ahead.
For now, it's about strengthening my muscles. It is not easy, but hopefully it will be worth it.
I'm happy to say that things are going well as I continue to work hard here in Germany.
