Perhaps sometimes it is better to lose 3-0 or 4-0 and say 'we were so bad today' but I think it is better to play well and build the confidence.
We know we played well this time but it wasn't enough to win. We also know we have to score next time. Maybe that is what we have learned from the games.
We have to score. I know that is the hardest thing in football but we have created chances. If you don't create the chances you know you have to play better and do more. As a team we create chances, play well, keep possession even though we are away from home.
I can remember a few years ago there were a lot of games we deserved to lose away from home.
Now we like to play, to keep possession, home or away. Maybe it looks different because we keep the ball. That is good, that you can hold the ball and not give it way. That is important, especially away.
People ask I feel we are improving and I say to them that I feel an improvement all the time.
I feel we can always create something and we always look to pass the ball. That is the difference. We look to play and if we can't, maybe then we will play a long ball.
If we don't lose the team spirit perhaps we might not play as well but win because we are always creating chances.
I must admit I like the style we are playing. But I also say don't forget the passion as well. It is not all about nice football. You need both. If you want to beat a team you can't just do it with nice football, especially in England. You need all the patience and power.
I enjoyed my own battle with Didi Hamman. I was booked for a foul but I was going for the ball!
He was waiting for me to go in and I got a yellow card. We weren't happy because we wanted to win the game. We like to win. If you have to go harder in a one-on-one situation, so be it. There is a difference between that and a dirty foul.
We now start to build up for Manchester United on Saturday. This is always a big game but as I have always said, I believe we can beat anyone at White Hart Lane.
It was a terrible feeling to come away from Anfield without any reward.
