Steffen, currently at home in Norway, insists that he is rested and ready to return to pre-season training on July 2 and is feeling no ill-effects from the head injuries he sustained last term.
Norway's national team doctor, Lars Engebretsen, voiced fears over Steffen’s well-being and the 25-year-old is set to undergo a check-up in London next Monday.
"I do not think I will be out for the season at all because I feel fine," said Steffen.
"I do not know where these stories have come from. There is nothing at all wrong at the moment. I have had a full break and feel perfectly okay.
"I am going to have another check-up on Monday and hopefully I will be given the all-clear to start training then. But in any case, I will certainly be linking up with the rest of the Tottenham squad for pre-season training as normal.
"I am looking forward to getting together with the rest of the lads in July and there is no problem as far as I am concerned."
Steffen Iversen has denied reports that he is suffering from a brain condition that could rule him out for the next campaign.
