Harry Redknapp is determined to get off to a flyer next season.
We kick-off the Premier League season with a cracker at home to Liverpool on August 15 followed by trips to Hull City on August 19 and West Ham on August 22 - all dates subject to change.
Although admitting ‘it doesn't get any tougher' than Liverpool, Harry is looking to maintain the form that saw us climb from 20th to eighth under his management last season.
That included a run of just four defeats in our last 17 league matches and an unbeaten run at home of 11 league games stretching back to December.
"Liverpool is a tough game but a great one to start with," said Harry. "They only lost two games last season but one of those was against us at White Hart Lane, so it's a match we can look forward to.
"Getting a good start is always important because it then carries you through the season whereas when you start badly it is very difficult.
"If you can get good early points it can make all the difference.
"Look at Hull last season, they made such a good start in the first 18 games or so yet for the rest of the season they barely got a win, yet because of that start they stayed up. It's so important to get the points on the board.
"It's a tough start but we're a good side and we can look forward to playing these games. We need a good start and there is no reason why we shouldn't do that."
