Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Simon Davies is in line to make his 100th Premiership appearance for the club against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Signed from Peterborough United during January, 2000, he made his senior debut against Liverpool on April 9, 2000. To date he has scored 13 league goals and has also played in 18 cup matches for us, scoring five times.

Saturday's encounter will be the 40th League meeting at the Lane between the two clubs. Of the previous 39 we have won 26, Rovers nine with five drawn matches.

Last season’s corresponding fixture - played on May 11, 2003 - resulted in a 4-0 win for Blackburn. Dwight Yorke opened the scoring in the fifth minute and Craig Hignett made it 2-0 just before half time. Damien Duff scored the third three minutes after the break and Andy Cole the fourth just before the hour mark. The crowd figure was 36,036.

Our last home win against Rovers was on January 1, 2002, Dean Richards netting the only goal a minute before the interval.

Rovers boss Graeme Souness began his career here. He was on our professional staff from May 1970 until joining Middlesbrough during January 1973. His only senior outing was as a substitute in a UEFA Cup tie against Keflavik during September 1971.
