With temperatures still soaring, conditions were tough for both teams until the sun went right down deep into the second half, but Clive Allen's young side coped with the heat the better and pretty much bossed the first period.
The lead was taken on 12 minutes when a measured cross from Jacques Maghoma was headed in at the far post by Terry Dixon, with the First Year Academy boy registering his second goal in as many games.
He made it three in two with 27 minutes on the clock when he accepted a pass to the left of the area and accelerated before drilling a high finish past home keeper Noel Imber.
The lads continued to hold sway in the half, but lots of crosses and promising approach play did not locate the intended target.
Boreham Wood rallied a little in the second period and reduced the deficit when Darell Cox gave Leigh Mills the slip and proceeded to round David Button and steer the ball into the net from the left side of the penalty area on 60 minutes.
Control was regained soon after though and, after 76 minutes, Jacques Maghoma made it 3-1 when he blasted into the bottom right hand corner of the net after some excellent attacking interchange.
Team: Button (Stroud 65), Riley (Mtandari 54, Hughton 90), Daniels, Mills, Martin, Davis (Hutton 75), Maghoma, Lewis, Livermore, Dawkins, Dixon (Hamed 45).
Our Spurs XI side made it two wins out of two - recording a 3-1 victory over Boreham Wood at Broughinge Road on Tuesday evening.
