The midfielder picked up another key assist for our first goal as we maintained our fine form with a 2-0 win at Anji in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Attention has quickly turned to the visit of the Hammers and our fourth London derby already this term in the Premier League.
Sam Allardyce’s men arrive at the Lane for a 4pm kick-off on Sunday having gone five matches without a win in the league, yet conceding only five goals in six matches.
“West Ham aren’t conceding many goals, they look strong and dangerous on the counter,” reasoned Lewis.
“We have to be ready for it, another derby, the atmosphere will be fantastic and I hope for the fans we can get three points again.
“The win against Anji was great for us and keeps the confidence up especially ahead of Sunday. Hopefully we’ll get another win to take into the international break and hopefully, I’ll be part of it.”
Lewis made his mark again by setting up Jermain Defoe’s opener in Russia and was involved in the build-up for the second, slotted home by Nacer Chadli.
“I’m very happy about my assists,” he added. “When I come on I try to do my best and try to get on the sheet. The link up with Jermain is going well and as I said, I’m happy to be involved.”
