Andre was pleased with the performance against Tromso IL in the Europa League on Thursday night as we bounced back from last weekend’s loss at City at the first attempt to register a 2-0 win in Norway.
Now it’s a noon showdown against at the Lane.
Andre led the team to victory at Old Trafford last season - our first win there since 1989 - and we were unbeaten in a Premier League campaign against United for the first time after a dramatic draw at home.
Despite the result at City and back-to-back losses, we remain just four points behind second placed Liverpool in the Premier League. After United’s draw at Cardiff last week, we’re just a point apart as we prepare for Sunday’s encounter.
“It’s a game against the champions and a team that will come to White Hart Lane with the motivation of a great result in the Champions League,” said Andre, referring to United’s 5-0 win against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday.
“It doesn’t get bigger than United and we will be ready.
“We were hurt after the display against City, the players, the staff, everyone involved in the club. We all want to bounce back and it’s the first opportunity in the Premier League to do that.
“I think our fans will help us try to get one over them and hopefully we can do that.”
