United impressed in a 2-0 victory against in-form Chelsea in the Premier League last weekend.

Alan Pardew got his tactics spot on as Newcastle kept it tight for an hour at St James’ Park before cranking up the pressure and going for the win. Yoan Gouffran and Loic Remy then delivered the goals to clinch maximum points.

We fought out a goalless draw at Everton last weekend to stay fourth in the table, level on points with Chelsea and Liverpool.

“I think Newcastle will be quite confident and it won’t be an easy match for us,” said Roberto, who has four goals in the Premier League to his name - including three match winners.

“We watched their game against Chelsea. In the first half, they defended well and then attacked more in the second half. It was a good win for them. I’m sure it will be a good match on Sunday.

“If we manage to win, we’ll continue to make progress and build on the draw at Everton.”

In his short time in England, Roberto has quickly learned that every game is a challenge.

“You don’t focus on where teams are in the league, you just go out and give 100 per cent in every match,” he added. “It doesn’t matter where teams are in the league, they give everything. There are no easy matches in the Premier League.”
