Spurs 4-1 Sunderland - MOTM result

Posted on 17 January 2016  - 10:30

Christian Eriksen scooped Man of the Match honours from our supporters after contributing two goals to Saturday’s 4-1 win over Sunderland.

The Danish international midfielder produced an instant response after we fell behind to Patrick van Aanholt’s opener for the Black Cats just before the interval at White Hart Lane and later made it 3-1 after Mousa Dembele’s strike had put us ahead. Harry Kane completed the scoring from the penalty spot.

Christian took 53.4 per cent of more than 16,100 votes cast across our official Twitter and Facebook platforms, as well as our online Match Centre.

Mousa was runner-up with 31 per cent.

Here’s what Christian had to say to Spurs TV after the game…

Christian Eriksen – 53.4 per cent

Mousa Dembele – 31 per cent

Kieran Trippier – 8.2 per cent

Jan Vertonghen – 7.4 per cent

Thanks to everyone who voted.
