Our German star returned to Spurs Lodge with the rest of the lads on Thursday feeling fully fit and raring to go again after his horror injury last season.
Just for the record, the wing-back was rushed to hospital after the draw against Charlton on Boxing Day after his thigh muscle had blown to twice it's size - the medical term for the condition is 'decompartmentalised'.
Amazingly, he returned to action on the final day of last season and played for an hour against DC United in America before continuing his rehabilitation on his own over the summer.
He explained: "Obviously I had a long rest when I was injured so I couldn't stop training this summer.
"I trained nearly every day, running a lot and it has helped. I feel fine now.
"I was delighted that I could play in the Blackburn game at the end of last season. That was a big step for me - it was important to get back into it and back on the pitch again.
"I also managed to play in the friendly in Washington so I'm happy with where I am.
"It's been a long time. I want to do everything right now in pre-season and show my best form again in the season."
Christian Ziege has clocked up the miles as he's counted down to the start of pre-season training.
