Spurs Ladies face three of WSL 2's top four in seven days

Sat 24 March 2018, 14:00|Tottenham Hotspur

After a month without a competitive game, Spurs Ladies are back in action on Sunday - and back with a bang!

The team was revitalised before this gap in fixtures with back-to-back victories over Oxford and Watford last month. They hammered Watford 6-0 in their last outing on 22 February.

Now they face three of the current top four in Women's Super League 2 in the space of a week.

It starts on Sunday with a trip to table-topping Doncaster Belles (2pm) followed by Millwall Lionesses at Cheshunt FC on Wednesday 28 March (7.30pm) and then a journey down to the south coast next Sunday (1 April) and fourth-placed Brighton.

The squad has ticked over with friendly matches in-between WSL 2 fixtures.

"We're raring to go," said manager Karen Hills. "It's a bit of a pity we've had this gap because we had real momentum with the back-to-back wins but I'm sure you can imagine that the players can't wait to get out there again.

"As always, they've trained hard, we've worked on a few things and hopefully we can pick up where we left off.

"These are three huge games for us and as I said from the start, these are the fixtures we've always wanted, the chance to test ourselves against the best in the WSL.

"We'll certainly get that test over the next week - and we can't wait!"
