The intensity of football training stepped up a gear at our training camp in Spain on Sunday.
The lads were first split into two groups for exercises designed to maintain possession - one group had four small goals placed around a small pitch and teams had to complete seven passes without the opposition touching the ball before they were allowed to try to score. If the opposing team touched the ball, possession changed hands.
It was then three groups forming circles with two players in the middle trying to get a touch on the ball.
As all this was going on, goalkeeping coach Hans Leitert put the keepers through their paces at the bottom end of the pitch.
The session was completed by a match played over three-quarters of the pitch.
Lunch followed and the final session of the day was in the gym.
