Spurs In Seville: Day 4

Posted on 6 August 2004  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

The players and management would like to extend a big thank-you to fans who travelled to Seville to support the team in the Kappa Cup. It is very much appreciated by all.

Thursday August 5

WE CAN report that the PlayStation king of the trip to Seville was young Philip Ifil, who happily revealed the morning after my mission into town in search of a scart lead, that he emerged as the undisputed champion. He did admit, however, that Anthony Gardner is also a top player who ran him pretty close. Of course, he might just be conceding this because it was Anthony who funded the taxi fares and the cost of the lead!

It also must be mentioned that the award for the most forgetful player goes, hands down, to Michael Brown. On two occasions communications chief Donna Cullen took a call from the stadium to bring down footwear Brownie forgot to pack - the second being a particularly smelly pair of trainers.

On the subject of our Head of Communications, when she entered an empty VIP area head of the Partizan game, an inspection of a model baring one of our shirts did not come up to scratch. Donna elected to straighten the shirt but, in the process, dislodged the dummy from it's stand. Cue a rummage around in the shorts region to find the hole, so to speak...

Well, it's back to London on Friday afternoon to catch a nap before preparations begin for the visit of Cagliari at the Lane.

It's all go - see you there...
