Wednesday August 4
BIT OF a quiet one really - the morning after the match before. It was another early start with an alarm call at 7.30am for an 8am breakfast after which it was off to training - not so intense for those who played against Feyenoord the night before.
On the non-playing side, there was a trip back to the Olympic Stadium at lunch time for an audience with the local government and senior Kappa management to thank the teams for participating in the tournament in Seville. A superb model of the stadium was given to each team's representative.
It was a massage evening for the boys after a team meeting followed by dinner at 8pm. Not quite ready for bed, a few of the boys - no names mentioned, but led by a very tall centre-half - persuaded yours truly to accept a mission into town to buy a scart lead to enable a spot of PlayStation on the room's television. Will have to report back on whether it worked or not and who came off best.
