The trio visited young people on the ward to hand out Spurs scarves, sign autographs and have their photos taken, putting smiles on a few faces in the process.

The hospital is a charity partner of our shirt sponsor AIA Australia who, with the Club’s help, have raised over £10,000 through activities that have taken place this week to purchase much needed medical equipment and fund important research projects.

For our players, it was yet another example of how active the squad has been in the community during the team’s visit to Melbourne.

Michel said: “It was great to come and visit the hospital today, even though it is always difficult to see children that are unwell. The most important thing is that we were able to cheer them up a little.”

Nacer agreed: “It is important to us that we have been out in the community this week and being able to help people who are going through a difficult time is something that is very rewarding.”

Vincent added: “It was a good thing for us to do today. I enjoyed meeting the young people, some of whom were interested in the Premier League, so hopefully it made them happy that we visited.”
