Despite the wet weather, around 60 local children were in attendance to meet their heroes and learn football skills from Premier League community coaches, including Tony Tillbrook and Bradley O’Gorman from Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.

The programme has been running throughout the week as part of the Barclays Asia Trophy, also providing grassroots coach and referee training courses in partnership with the British Council.

Our players and Ledley interacted with the kids, taking part in small-sided games and an autograph signing session, with Kyle and Gomes even trying their hand at being assistant referees at one point!

Club Ambassador Ledley, who visited Premier Skills earlier in the week, said: “It was great for the lads to come down and meet the kids.

“Everyone enjoyed the day and it’s important that we give something back to the community here in Hong Kong that has welcomed us since day one.”

Kyle added: “I remember as a kid back in Sheffield how special it was to be given the chance to enjoy football and the enthusiasm of the children here in Hong Kong is no different to back home.”

Gylfi said: “I was impressed by some of the talent on show amongst the kids today, so a lot of credit must go to the coaches who have been working with them all week.”

Manchester City were represented by Yaya Toure, Alvaro Negredo and Abdul Razak, while Sunderland brought along Wes Brown, Jozy Altidore and Keiren Westwood.
