Fans, 49ers and sweat in the sun have made up the squad's first full day in America.
The travelling party touched down at San Francisco at 5pm local time (1am UK) after a 10-hour flight on Wednesday.
Nevertheless, it was an early start on Thursday with the sun rising over San Jose at 6am and the lads straight into the hard work of pre-season training at 9am.
Our first session at our club partner San Jose Earthquakes' Nutrilite Training Facility was open and over 1,200 people attended including fans from our San Francisco Supporters Club and Earthquakes Season Ticket Holders.
With temperatures in the 80s, the lads certainly sweated it out as they were first put through movement preparation exercises and then speed endurance runs first without and then with the football.
They then stepped into high-intensity ball work, working in three four-minute blocks, before a match on a smaller-sized pitch.
Interested observers included Alex Smith and Joe Staley, stars of NFL team the San Francisco 49ers - and they happily took part as Clive Allen put on a shooting session at the end of training.
Both showed decent football skills, not least Joe, who is an Offensive Lineman and quite a unit but managed to drill home his first shot at goal!
A few San Jose Earthquakes' players arrived as our session was closing to prepare for their own training and Gareth Bale took a few penalties against their goalkeeper Jon Busch.
The squad signed autographs for all the fans before heading back to the hotel for lunch.
That wasn't the end of their day though as they took in a gymnasium session in the afternoon. It was then dinner at 8pm local time and ready to do it all again on Friday.
