After matchday on Saturday and a warm-down on Sunday, it was back to the hard graft of pre-season training for the lads in San Jose on Monday.
The squad were put through their paces with two football session and a work-out in the gym.
The morning session was tough. After going through their regular stretching exercises, the players were split into groups for different football drills.
So for instance, strikers Robbie Keane, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Jon Obika began with a finishing circuit with Clive Allen. This involved a sprint between poles to the near post to finish, then back away to the far post to header, then repeat again and again with crosses from the right before a brief break and back to do it all again from the left.
There were five stations in total and it was a real test in the California sunshine.
The lads went straight from the San Jose Earthquakes Nutrilite Training Facility to the gymnasium, where they went through an upper body work-out before lunch.
After lunch, it was back out onto the training ground for a second football session. This was a lighter session with a couple of football exercises before the lads went into a game situation.
After a tough day on the training field, the lads were treated to a night at the baseball and a trip to see Oakland A's match against Boston Red Sox in the MLB.
Gareth Bale was invited down to pitchside by the home team and he presented a shirt to A's President, Michael P. Crowley, before meeting A's second baseman Mark Ellis.
We were later greeted by the crowd as a whole when the A's giant scoreboard announced we were at the game - pictured below!
The squad will now pack up their bags for a trip across country tomorrow, destination New York for the Barclays New York Challenge.
We play two games - New York Red Bulls on Thursday followed by Sporting Lisbon on Sunday. Manchester City are also in the tournament with matches played at the Red Bull Arena, Harrison, New Jersey.
Meanwhile, pictured below are Greg Palmer and Rolfe Jones of LA Spurs, who are now an official Supporters Club based in Los Angeles.
Greg and Rolfe travelled to San Francisco for Friday night's SF Spurs Supporters Club night with Ossie Ardlies and LA Spurs brought over 100 members to San Jose for Saturday's friendly with the Earthquakes.
