The pair stepped out again in the white shirt in Saturday’s friendly against RCD Espanyol at White Hart Lane.
Both have fought hard to recover from long-term knee injuries. Younes last played for the first team last August while Sandro picked up his injury at QPR in January.
Their return was the icing on the cake of a day that included debuts for Roberto Soldado and Paulinho and a debut goal for Roberto and a first appearance at the Lane for Nacer Chadli.
Roberto struck from the spot as we impressed in the first half but David Lopez headed home an equaliser for the La Liga side just before half-time and that’s how it stayed - Younes almost maked his return with a goal in the second half but Kiko Casilla grasped his header on the line while Andros Townsend whistled a shot just wide.
“To see Sandro and Younes back, players who have been so important for the club, is amazing, bearing in mind their absence," said Andre.
“Particularly Younes, almost 12 months since he last played, he showed great strength of character to come back at this level and it means we can count on him in one or two weeks and we’re extremely happy with that.”
Next up, the big kick-off at Palace on Sunday week, August 18, kick-off 1.30pm.
