Back-to-back league wins have brought out optimism for Tottenham Hotspur’s season as they now look forward to Tuesday night’s trip to Stoke.

They say Barcelona would struggle in such an affair, but after beating Liverpool at the Lane on Sunday, Harry Redknapp’s squad should be in buoyant mood. So would you be if you somehow foresaw that scoreline, as we had 4-0 chalked up at 66/1!

The midweek odds bear some resemblance to the weekend with Stoke considered the 6/4 favourites, narrowly ahead of Spurs at 31/20. With the game considered so tight, perhaps extra time could be worth a bet, with the 9/4 draw the biggest price on offer.

These two have traded blows since Stoke returned to the big time in 2008/09, with the North Londoners winning the head-to-head record with four victories to two. And having triumphed at the Britannia on the previous two visits, the infamously intimidating ground should hold little fear for the Spurs.

A third straight 2-1 win at Stoke would return 17/2 on your money, while a goalless stalemate in 90 minutes is worth 10/1. If you’re feeling the positivity flowing once again, you can back Spurs to go all the way in the Carling Cup, with 12/1 making them sixth favourites in the Outright Winner market.
