Fulham v Spurs

Tottenham's army of internationals return to club duty for the short trip to Fulham and the Sportingbet book installs them as 13/10 favourites to pick up where they left off.

That thrilling victory over Aston Villa was the perfect note to strike before the break, stopping any fears of a dip in form in their tracks and keeping Harry's men in touch with the top four.

The result might well have swelled your own Sportingbet coffers if you'd followed our 15/2 tip for the 2-1 Correct Score - or simply shown enough faith to snap up the 9/10 for a Spurs win.

Fulham will be no easy prey this weekend however, especially given their unbeaten status in the league this term, and are 9/5 to tarnish the renewed optimism in the Spurs camp.

Under Mark Hughes the Cottagers look the league's draw specialists, with six of their seven games so far ending all square, and that outcome looks appealing at odds of 11/5.

Having twice made the journey to Craven Cottage last season, Spurs can hardly be expecting a goalfest in West London, since both the league and FA Cup encounters there both ended 0-0.

A repeat show - though perhaps unwelcome if you're heading to the game this weekend - would pay a tidy 9/1 on your cash, while Spurs to sneak a 1-0 success comes in at 13/2.

Rafael van der Vaart may not have continued his hot streak for the Netherlands but he can't stop scoring for Spurs, so surely he's worth a punt at 11/2 in the First Goalscorer markets.

If you're looking for big prices however, how about the 40/1 on Alan Hutton to add to his goal tally with the opener? Or even William Gallas at 22/1 if he can return from injury with a bang?
