The Premier League season comes to a close on Sunday afternoon and there’s plenty riding on Tottenham’s encounter with Birmingham at White Hart Lane.

Spurs are chasing a fifth-place Premier League finish and European qualification whilst Birmingham are fighting for their lives at the opposite end of the table, sitting one spot and one goal above the relegation zone.

With both sides chasing three points for differing reasons, it should be a fantastic finale to the season.

Spurs surprised many when beating Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield last weekend, a timely reminder of the talent at Redknapp’s disposal, and the Lilywhites’ fine home form has seen them chalked up as strong 8/15 favourites to overcome Birmingham.

The Blues have only recorded two victories away from St Andrews but will be heartened by the fact Tottenham have failed to beat any of the bottom four teams this campaign. A Birmingham win can be snapped up at 9/2 with the draw at 14/5.

Spurs fans seeking value should look towards the EVS on offer with Sportingbet for the Lilywhites to be in front at half-time, or the 7/5 for Tottenham to win to nil.

Jermaine Defo and Rafael Van Der Vaart head the betting in the First Goalscorer market at 4/1 but last weekend’s penalty taker Luka Modric is definitely worth a look at 15/2. Further down the list, centre half Michael Dawson is a whopping 28/1 to break the deadlock at the Lane.

If Correct Score is more your thing, then a 2-0 Tottenham triumph is 13/2, a convincing 3-0 demolition has been priced up at 10/1 and if you fancy an end-of-season classic, be sure to check out the 22/1 on a 3-2 home win to complete what’s been a memorable season for Spurs fans.

The Sportingbet Podcast has plenty more great bets for the weekend. This week we preview the final weekend of the Premier League season, the Heineken Cup final, French Open tennis, Irish 2000 Guineas and the Spanish Grand Prix.
