The 50th anniversary of our famous Double success was celebrated in a special commemorative programme against Blackpool last Saturday – and there is still time to get your copy.
Bill Nicholson's side achieved the feat of winning the First Division championship and the FA Cup with a Wembley win against Leicester City on May 6, 1961. A total of 28 pages are devoted to the Double within the A4-size, 100-page programme, with proceeds donated to the Tottenham Tribute Trust.
Among the special features are Harry Redknapp’s own personal profiles of the ’61 team, fans memories of that wonderful season, a view from the opposition with ‘Mr Blackpool’ Jimmy Armfield and extracts from Bill Nicholson’s autobiography, as he talks us through the Double in his own words.
An exclusive interview with Jermain Defoe details his pride at joining the elite band of Spurs greats to score 100 goals for the club and he picks out his top five goals, plus all our usual features and articles.
