Not only does the match against Charlton represent their first encounter in the FA Women’s Premier League at their new home of Ware FC, but a Family Fun Day has proved hugely popular, with fans snapping up the chance to join in.

Juniors will be able to take part in our fun zones which include a Chirpy Penalty Shoot-Out, Freestyle Zone, Samba Goals and Training Skills Zone.

Spurs Legend and Club Ambassador Ledley King will be making a special appearance.

Plus look out for our facepainters, there’s the chance to win a VIP Stadium Tour in our raffle, and a TotternhamTurfies.com Treasure Hunt for the kids.

It all starts at 11am - and it’s FREE!

Manager, Karen Hills, said: “It has taken a lot of planning to make what I feel will be a great day to showcase women’s football and drive awareness of Spurs Ladies.

“It would be fantastic to attract more people to come and watch us.

“I think fans will be pleasantly surprised with how far the ladies have come over the past couple of years.”

Back to business and on the pitch, the team is determined to build on last week’s opening day victory over Chesham United.

“We’re expecting a tough game against Charlton as they are one of the teams that came down from the Premier League National Division due to the start of the WSL2,” said manager, Karen Hills.

The FA Women’s Premier League has changed from National Division, South and North to just Southern and Northern Divisions as part of restructuring of the women’s game for  2013-14.

“Charlton have always been a strong force within the women’s game over the years having a very successful seven-year stint at the very top level,” continued Karen.

“I know the club well as I played there for seven seasons alongside a number of England international players.

“Now, when I’m managing against them, it’s always a reminder of when I used to play.

"We’re expecting a very exciting end-to-end game as both teams are very strong when going forward. It should be a great spectacle for the fans.”
