Sound Offs: World Cup fancies

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Andy Wainwright: Its simple, excellent players = success, average players = mediocrity. I'm not bothered how much we spend as long as the players we buy are better than the ones we have. Look for up and coming players from far afield.

Rick Adams: I agree that Redknapp & Acimovic are decent signings 4 free's. If Jamie stays fit I'm expecting big things from him. Our striker search looks bleak at the mo but like some others of you I've been impressed by Hasan Sas. Ilhan Mansiz looked good as well but would no doubt cost a fair bit so I'll wait for Hod to surprise us all by persuading Ronaldo to sign for 6 years with a huge buy-out clause!

Tim Stone: We played some great football this season gone and it was a real breath of fresh air to the club! Sadly though we lacked the killer instinct in respect to both finishing our chances and also finishing off teams we have mauled for 75mins. If we'd bagged all our good chances and won the games we should have done then I'm sure we'd be shaking the top of the tree. If's and buts count for nothing in football and you're only ever as good as your last result so it's all eyes on the coming season now. The platform is being laid for Spurs to dominate English football over the coming years which is very encouraging. If we can sign players like Blondel, Samuel Et'o and Bobby Zamora and keep hold of players like Matthew Etherington (pleeeeease) we would have a very young, very capable side to mould into champions with the likes of King, Thelwell, Gardener, Doherty, Davies!! Carr all en route to being world class players!! I am very optimistic for Spurs' future, but all the optimisim in the world can't win a football match for you so we really need at least two 20 goal strikers to compliment the welath of talent at our club because if everybody is honest we played beautiful football and created many chances but our front line severely let us down last term.

Adam Dean: We need a striker. Robbie Keane should have been a major target but it seems he has slipped through our fingers. Eto was another target with the deal apparently "as certain as could be..." but has he signed yet? Ideally I would love to see Owen in a Spurs shirt. He is the best striker in the world and finishes everything. That is what we need but somehow I think we'll be left with the same frontline again.
