But so is Luke Young! I really think we should not bother signing anyone unless its Cannavaro or some other World-Class replacement! What’s the point in having a good reserve team? If they can do it there, why not give them a chance in the first team? Saves £££! Look how good they were (Doherty, Young, King) but now with Bunjevcevic and Perry, who are a bit older, we have enough experience!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Scott Hurcombe: Ledley King should not be groomed into any position, he is a quality player and a growing talent. Let his talent grow naturally and his position will find him rather than him finding his position!!!
Richard O’Donoghue: I think Ledley should be left to decide which position suits him best in the same way he has been. I know we desperately need to replace Sol, but that has nothing to do with Ledley King. His career should be determined by what he has got to offer in certain areas on the field, not in a desperate attempt to replace Sol. If he is naturally a centre back then great but if he's a midfielder then so be it. Sol Campbell's absence should not interfere with Ledley's promising career. He's his own man with his own football characteristics.
Nick Bedford: Led King should definitely go back to defence - he can be every bit as good as big Sol was and better. We have enough good midfielders and good young players - Davies, Clemence and some experienced players, namely Gus Poyet.
