Sound Offs: Sully or Kasey? 2

Posted on 6 August 2002  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Bernie Crisp: Definately Kasey, Sullivan makes too many mistakes. I saw Lars play friendly at Palace and he done ok.

Loksan Harley: I believe that Kasey and Sully have about as much ability as each other though I think Keller is more solid and consistent. MAKE HIM NO.1 HOD!

Louis Fong: Keller should start ahead of Sullivan, always looked more reliable as we can see how he helped Leicester and Real Vallecano to make it in Europe.

Mark Huttley: My starting line up would be:
Keller
Carr (right wing back)
Ziege (left wing back)
Richards
King
Perry
Bunje (centre mid)
Matthew Ehterington (left mid)
Simon Davies (right mid)
Darren Anderton/Teddy Sheringham (attacking midfield jsut behind attacker)
Steffen Iversen

Andrew Pockett: Definitely Sully he's a quality keeper, whilst Kasey is a good shot stopper. Sully is generally and overall a better keeper he's a better blocker and does better when it comes to free kicks. You only have to see Hasselbaink's freekick at the bridge in the Worthington Cup 1st leg that Kasey was slow to react. Sully all the way, personally I think we should buy a young goalkeeper, I was thinking of River Plate's young wonder goaly Franco Costanzo - excellent keeper.

Danny Cerda: It has to be Sully. He has a massive influence on the defenders, you can see that they are more confident when he is behind them. He is so commanding and although Keller is a superb shot stopper, he is not as commanding around the box as Sully.

Stuart Travis-Lill: Whilst Keller ended the season on a consistent note, Sullivan would easily be my choice. Sullivan's positional sense is better, therefore he is less likely to let soft goals in.

Chris Isaac: I have to agree witn the previous two postings. Sullivan has worried me for some time. Some keepers are good shot stoppers (Bill Brown) some are great at crosses (Pat Jennings) Sullivan is good but not particularly so at either. I don't belive that Keller is the long term answer either.... but he is definately better that Sullivan.

Neil Thomson: We should stick with Sully, in his first season he was outstanding but last season he was up and down. This season I think he will improve and will be as solid as a rock again for us and with the defenders we have at the moment we will have the best defence in the Premiership.

Tom Stewart: Definitely Keller because of his standard of performance last season, although Sully is quality he didnt show enough talent last year to keep the No1 shirt.
