Sound Offs: Redknapp 3

Posted on 3 May 2002  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Tim Bechervaise: I think Redknapp's signing is a good one, at a bargain buy. He has a good shot rate and will be influential in midfield, especially with free-kicks and corners. The only thing I am worried about is his injuries. We have a reputation for injuries and it will be really bad luck for him and the club if he gets injured frequently. Him and Acimovic will go really well together, along with Gus, Davies and Anderton. It looks as if Glenn will have a few selection dilemas!

Liam Ryder: I think that it was an ingenius signing by Glenn, because those lucky people who saw Jamie play at Anfield will know he plays well alongside Christian Ziege. I now belive we have one of the strongest sides in the Premiership!

Tony Lim: The heart of our attacking game should come from the midfield section. Jamie would excel well barring any unforseen incident or injury. We have made the right choice, Poyet + Anderton + Redknapp = Danger !!

Graham Hill: I think the signing of Jamie Redknapp was the 'steal of the century' he is a class player when he is at his best. This will stregthen our midfield with our other great new signin Acimovic, our midfield will be like this Ziege as a full back as usull with Carr on the right as a full back and Poyet, Redknapp and Acimovic in the centre we wont even have room for the likes of Anderton and Davies and Sherwood who will be sitting on the bench but all great players, don't get me wrong. Ps Rebrov please don't go we want u and come on you Spurs!

Richard Mineur: Now that we have Jamie at the club, we will still have the one of the best
midfields in the prem, but improved. And with Milenko at the club we have enough depth in the field, with Davies, Anderton, Etherington, Taricco, Poyet and Clemence. Now let's buy Hofland for the defence and Cisse for the attack and we will be taking the premiership by storm.

Michael Fisher: I think the arrival of Jamie Redknapp is Glenn Hoddle's best signing to date. Anyone of that calibre, to arrive on a free, is superb. It now gives us strength in depth in the midfield, along with the arrival of Milenko Acimovic, who we know very little about, and the up coming talents of Ledley King and Alton Thelwell. The future is looking rosy under the messiah Glenn.
