Sound Offs - Best goal

Posted on 24 April 2003  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

John MacDougall: I think that the sweetest strike of the sesson so far will have to be Robbie Keane's strike against Blackburn at Eward Park - our first in a 1-2 win. It was also Robbie's first goal in a spurs shirt and the 50th of his career! Which is why he deserves it.

Adam Benjamin: Robbie Keane's goal at home against Leeds was not only our best goal of the season but possibly the best goal scored by any team. It may not have looked much at first but the technique was incredible.

Christophe Tobbiodoge: I liked Gus Poyet's goal for his technique and finish in the Birmingham game. Unfortunately it also showed our tendancy to now play route 1 football instead of the flowing passing football that we were promised as Spurs fans. Good to see Gus make up for his giving away a penalty too as have always rated him as being a good goalscoring midfielder.

Neil Taylor: There's only one answer to that question!! Ziege against them.

John Nicholson: My personal top 5 are:

5. Robbie Keane Vs Blackburn
4. Robbie Keane Vs Leeds (H)
3. Gus Poyet Vs Birmingham
2. Robbie Keane Vs Leeds (A)

It would have been number 2, but because it was againt Arsenal:

1. Christian Ziege Vs Arsenal

Michael Lambert: I think our best goal of the season so far was Robbie Keane's wonderful strike against Leeds earlier in the year. The way he took it with the outside of his boot was just brilliant. I wish he would score more like that.

Ed Bradshaw: Etherington scored a cracker against Everton. We need to keep him as him and Simon Davies are the future of this club and they will launch us into Europe in the coming years.

Jimmy Chan: The one by Redknapp!

Kent Yeomans: I think Robbie Keane's strike against leeds has been the best so far; the skill required for an outside of the boot shot to top corner is awesome, capping off Robbie's fantastic performance on the day.
