Head Coach Martin has watched the run to the last four and victories against Forest, Liverpool, Everton and Watford.
A two-legged encounter now follows for a place in the final with the lads travelling to Portman Road first before the return at the Lane on Wednesday.
"There is a special atmosphere for the games in the FA Youth Cup," said Martin.
"Watford was a good team and they played them off the park. They looked so good that night and we are confident they can achieve something this season.
"It's a big thing and it's our club. Phil Ifil's playing, Jamie O'Hara's playing and there are a couple of players coming through the ranks that will play for the reserves next season.
"When you see the young players so happy after winning a game you realise how important it is for them."
Martin Jol has described our Under-18s as a 'special team' as they prepare for the semi-final, first leg of the FA Youth Cup at Ipswich Town on Friday night.
