Lee Barnard is hoping a slight knee injury won't cut short what has been a successful loan spell so far at Stevenage Borough.
The young striker was back at Spurs Lodge on Wednesday after picking up the knock in Tuesday's night's 2-0 defeat for Borough at Aldershot.
He is still aiming to play in the next game at Scarborough next Tuesday after enjoying his brief encounter with the Nationwide Conference.
He said: "It's going well so far," he said. "I thought I did well against Aldershot although it was disappointing for the team to lose.
"It's tough physically, very competitive but it's a great experience for me. I'm sure it will toughen me up. I got a few whacks against Aldershot but you just have to make sure you don't react to anything."
Lee's injury, however, came in the warm-up. He explained: "I went to strike a ball and another came at me, hit my foot and twisted my knee and ankle. Hopefully it will only be a tweak and I'll be available for the game at Scarborough next week."
