The full-back felt he produced his best performance of his eight caps so far for Stuart Pearce's men, providing two assists in the 4-0 win at Walsall.
In fine form on loan at Millwall in the Championship, Adam played 75 minutes and was a key man as the Young Lions stormed into a 3-0 lead on a rainy night in the Midlands.
He linked up well with Tom Ince down the right throughout and delivered an inch-perfect cross for the Blackpool winger to open the scoring from close range in the 10th minute.
He was there again on the half-hour, this time hitting the right byline and cutting the ball back for Ince, whose shot deflected into the path of Liverpool's Jonjo Shelvey to tap home.
Ince added his second to make it 3-0 just before the break and Connor Wickham wrapped up a convincing win in the 77th minute, just after Adam had been substituted for Tom Lees.
"It was difficult with the pitch and the conditions but the gaffer said to go out and play and not make excuses with the pitch, that's what we did," Adam told ESPN afterwards.
"Personally, it was a good game for me to get two assists."
