Executive Director Paul Barber explained, "The Club was successful in securing a much higher quota of tickets from Slavia Prague than had been expected. Some 3,000 tickets, therefore, are being made available to our fans versus the official allocation of around 900.
"The ticket consignment arrived from Slavia earlier this morning and our Ticketing staff have worked throughout today to quickly and efficiently process and dispatch tickets for next weeks match."
Whilst the Club has provided supporters with a choice of value added official ticket and travel packages, the vast majority of the increased number of tickets have been made available on a ticket-only basis in order to facilitate supporters wishing to travel independently.
The tickets will be distributed within the next 48 hours, along with literature detailing important stadium information. This includes details of the Slavia Pragues facilities, stadium gate opening times, the low number of turnstiles at the Stadium and the suggested arrival time to avoid delays entering the Stadium. The Clubs letter also reminds supporters that they are ambassadors for the Club whilst travelling overseas.
Supporters not travelling to Prague will be able to enjoy the match live on Channel 5, kick off 7pm UK time.
The Club is pleased to inform Season Ticket Holders who applied by the 1 September deadline for tickets to the away leg of our UEFA Cup 1st round tie against Slavia Prague, that they have all been successful and will receive tickets for this match. Members who applied will be notified if they have been successful within the next 48 hours.
