Our club partners San Jose Earthquakes enjoyed a 2-0 win at West Ham in the first friendly of their pre-season preparations in the UK on Tuesday.

Our club partners San Jose Earthquakes enjoyed a 2-0 win at West Ham in the first friendly of their pre-season preparations in the UK on Tuesday.

The MLS side from California turned in an impressive performance at Upton Park to overcome a Hammers side that included the likes of Kieran Dyer, Danny Gabbidon and Mido.

The Earthquakes took the lead in the eighth minute via an own goal as Jordan Spence turned Bobby Convey's cross into his own net.

Ryan Johnson added the second goal five minutes into the second half when he finished well after being played in by Joey Gjertsen.

Frank Yallop's squad were back at Spurs Lodge for training on Tuesday.
