Six of our players have been named in England's provisional 30-man squad for the World Cup.

Six of our players have been named in England's provisional 30-man squad for the World Cup.

Michael Dawson, Ledley King, Aaron Lennon, Tom Huddlestone, Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe have been selected by Fabio Capello.

The 30-man squad will now travel to Austria in six days time to begin the training preparation for the tournament.

That squad will eventually be cut down to 23 for the World Cup in South Africa.

England have friendlies against Mexico on Monday, May 24 and Japan at the UPC Arena, Graz, Austria on May 30.

The Three Lions' kick-off their World Cup campaign against the USA on June 12.

Squad: Goalkeepers - Joe Hart, David James, Robert Green.

Defenders - Leighton Baines, Jamie Carragher, Ashley Cole, Michael Dawson, Rio Ferdinand, Glen Johnson, Ledley King, John Terry, Matthew Upson, Stephen Warnock.

Midfielders - Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Tom Huddlestone, Adam Johnson, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Scott Parker, Theo Walcott, Shaun Wright-Phillips.

Forwards - Darren Bent, Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Emile Heskey, Wayne Rooney.
