England's number one Robbo made three key saves in the first half to deny West Brom a crucial second goal.
He blocked one-on-one from Kevin Campbell, clawed away a close range effort from namesake Paul Robinson and then his best save, getting a vital touch to deflect Campbell's one-on-one chance wide.
Minutes later and we were level via Robbie Keane's penalty before Jermain Defoe's double at the start of the second half secured a 3-1 win.
Head Coach Martin reflected: "Normally you could have said I should have changed it after 20, 25 minutes but I didn't do that and waited until half-time but in the meantime, they could have scored two goals and that's why Paul Robinson is in goal for Tottenham and the best goalkeeper in England.
"He was there for the free-kick as well at the end, that would have been 3-2 but he made a terrific save. He's there to do that."
Martin Jol looked back on Paul Robinson's first half heroics against West Brom and smiled as he stated: "That's why he's the best."
