Simon's family United

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

It’s far from a family at war but the Simon Davies household will certainly have a conflict of loyalties on Saturday.
Our young midfielder’s family are all Manchester United fans — just as he was as a young lad growing up in Haverfordwest.
He has already experienced the thrill of making his full debut at Old Trafford in front of his mum and dad at the end of the last season and now Simon, just voted our Player of the Month for April, will take on his family’s favourites with many more of the Davies clan at the Lane.
Simon explained: “Back home in Haverfordwest everyone either supports Liverpool or Manchester United.
“We had family in Manchester who we used to visit during the summer and we always used to go and watch games when we could. It started from there really.
“I only actually went to watch a couple of games. The first time I went I was only five or six, I went on the tour of the ground and it was just following my brothers, who are all United fans as well.
“When I started getting hooked it was Cantona, Ince, Giggs, Mark Hughes.
“I started getting into it the year before the Premiership started and they lost out to Leeds United. That’s when I knew I loved it.”
He loved it even more when he made his full Spurs debut at the Theatre of Dreams last May.
Simon added: “You always dream of playing at Old Trafford, in front of a packed house, with all my family back at home in the pub watching it live on television.
“It was a proud day for my mum and dad, who managed to make it to the game.
“I had all those feelings of playing at Old Trafford but I was there to do a job for Spurs and that was all I was thinking about on the day.
“Looking back, it was amazing. My mum and dad travelled up but I think the rest of the family would have watched it live in the pub. I know they all still support United — I just hope it’s now Tottenham after that!
“This time around I’ll have about 10 tickets for the family and that’s a buzz, knowing that there are people who really care about you rooting for you in the crowd. Well, me and United anyway!”

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
