Simon Davies sees the first half against Arsenal on Saturday as a blueprint for the rest of the season.
Few would argue that for 45 minutes of the first half we played as well as we had all season, dominating possession and going 1-o up through Noureddine Naybet.
But Thierry Henry levelled just before the break and the second half was a different story as a host of mistakes were punished. Arsenal went 3-1 up but we continue to fight back as the amazing game went 1-3, 2-3, 2-4, 3-4, 3-5 and finally 4-5.
"The first half is a taster of how we're looking to play," said midfielder Simon, who saw a last-gasp effort for 5-5 whistle just wide.
"The boys played superbly first half, the crowd got behind us and that's the best we've played all season.
"That is how we want to play our football but the goal just before half-time killed us a little. Obviously it was disappointing overall but we have to look at the positives as well."
