Simon strides into unknown

Simon Davies goes into the unknown tonight (Friday).<P class=MsoNormal>Our midfielder with an eye for goal is expected to earn another Welsh Under-21 cap in the European Championship qualifier at the A<SPAN style="mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt">bovyan Town Stadium in</SPAN> Armenia &mdash&#59; he has, in fact, been described by boss Jimmy Shoulder as the team&rsquo&#59;s key player.<P class=MsoNormal>Ian Hillier also made the squad&rsquo&#59;s final cut and will be hoping to win a first cap after his fine season at club level.<P class=MsoNormal>Haverfordwest-born Simon said: &ldquo&#59;It&rsquo&#59;s another trip away and hopefully I&rsquo&#59;ll get another Under-21 cap under my belt.<P class=MsoNormal>&ldquo&#59;I&rsquo&#59;m looking forward to the game. I&rsquo&#59;ve never been to Armenia before, to be honest I&rsquo&#59;ve never really heard of it before, so it should interesting. You can only learn from experiences like this.<P class=MsoNormal>&ldquo&#59;It&rsquo&#59;s a great honour to be selected for your country, they are a great bunch of lads and obviously it will be great to have Ian Hillier out there as well. We&rsquo&#59;re both looking forward to it.<P class=MsoNormal>&ldquo&#59;Ian has come on a lot. He got an extension to his contract last year and I&rsquo&#59;m sure he&rsquo&#59;ll get another this year. He&rsquo&#59;s come on leaps and bounds and deserves it.
